Don't beat yourself up too bad, I've done the same.
At least you can file a claim on the ole card. By the reviews, I wouldn't wait too long.

I looked at them, then choked on their prices. Figured I'd just go ahead and rebuild mine, glad now I decided that way. How does a scammer like that stay in business? Especially this long?:confused::confused:

I got stroked once. Unbeknownst to me, he was (and probably still is) a scam artist with several "identities."

You have to think like a thief to be a thief. The guy who burned me and the guy who's trying to burn POPS know the art of illusion better than David frickin' Copperfield.

Scam update.......

I have a nephew that is a cooperate lawyer in San Diego for some big natural gas company. He stopped by on his way to see his Mom and Dad [my brother]. We were looking at my brides project and I told him about my dilemma on the transmission. He asked a few questions such as who when how much and order number.
That was on June 2nd and June 9th I had a refund in full posted back into my credit card account for the transmission.

I don't know what he told those people but he got quick results.

I couldn't even get them to talk to me any more and the credit card company told me it would take 90 days or more.

I told him when he came back thru I would treat him to a Wagyu steak dinner.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!!!!

Progress.....

Between my farming and cows and my grand sons Dodge Cummins water in the oil and oil in the water its been slow going on the Willys.

We did get the fire wall cleaned up, the rear cab mounts sorted out, left rear side of the cab repaired and frame mounts made.

We beat the top of the cab out where some kid probably was jumping on it.

Set the cab in its final resting place and bolted down so we cane do the floors.

Todays progress.....

Bed repairs. The first pic shows the 15 holes drilled in the right side of the bed and the split fender.
Every one of the fenders on the truck has a split in the corner some where.
Not too bad tho for 68 years old I guess

We got the right side fender and side skirts mostly straighten out and mounted. Still need to make and install the fender braces.

Left side tomorrow. It only has 9 holes drilled in it to repair.
