Typical Ohio rust, **** will buff out

great stuff! [cl[cl[cl[cl really fits well

I dont want to scare you but you may need to check the area for a wolverine thats been gnawing on your van. ;)

Body was long gone, I had another econoline same body style think it was a 94 as well come to think of it. And it had terrible rot on the driver side floor pan at the body mount same as this van. Was fun to sawzall it all up, with the glass it was 1750 pounds of scrap.

I like it when the maker carries on even when some are shaking their heads. It looks good for what you had to do! Get it going and drive the wheels off it...[cl

Thank you man! to me that is what it’s all about. Creating something with your own hands and using parts from things that should never be considered as a fabrication material, let alone an automotive part lol. Can’t wait to see car show guys faces when I start telling the story of this thing[;)

An update

Well I drove it! Had a really productive Monday last week got headlights and taillights wired up and ripped it down the road. To clear the brake booster I used a long 1/2” socket extension and a universal for a steering linkage, and a pc of bicycle handlebar to pass through the firewall, very sketchy has that poker in a coal bucket feel to it. Exhaust isn’t finished it dumps behind the passenger seat for now very loud lol but we had a great time

Tires!

My dad brought over some 31x12.50 15 thornbirds on VW wheels, told him i had to have them, ordered some 12 wide rims from summit this morning. Will be fabbing small diameter square tube to puff the rear fenders out to fit those meats in the back they are about 14” wide on 12” wheels.

15x12 with 3.5” backspacing, kind of rolled the dice on these looks like they should fit. Cheesed my breaker bar on the rusty lugs lol so it remains unknown for tonight.

Stacks 👍🏻

Exhaust is done, 3” from the manifolds no cat to an Amazon super10 dual 4” out of that, then up to 5” stacks that I got from a semi junkyard very happy. Sounds friggin cool. Smells much better too, without exhaust getting sucked up into the cab through the holes in the floor lol. Got the tires mounted, they are going to be a bit wild looking will have to stretch the fenders out some.

Got the floor in the bed finally, left it bare for a while and now decided to stain it black. Found some 60s Ford mirrors and cut them down to fit, fits the truck better than the Harley mirrors for sure, running boards coming soon, haven’t quite figured out what would look half decent to extend them. They are pretty much gone like the rest of the 48 parts so I want to use black stained wood in there somehow for strength and I think it will be a cool theme to stick with.
