I always think to myself wth and why I build and continue to build? Always have a heart for each and every one I have done finished or not, yes some been pain in my ass and more than it’s worth. I see a lot of real nice potential in builds here/some are amazingly built. We all have a sickness but I would love to hear of some of the regrets of loosing, selling or just given up on some at the time.. All these cars/trucks getting harder and harder to find. Wish I had at least half of mine. Prices keep going up, everything harder to find. Keep all our dreams and imagination going what can still be done.

When I was very young looking at pictures it would have been nice to have a couple of the wagons my Dad had but the car I wish I did build and keep was a 73 Valiant, 4 door. It was a 318 had AC and would have been the ultimate sleeper. That is only 1 of the cool cars but the only 1 I really miss. Jim

Most of my cars have been bought with the intention of selling. The only 2 i have regreted selling are my high school 68 fairlane ( which I bought back) and tank my 67 Cadillac

I've never owned any nice cars. I have built a few work trucks that I have gotten my use out of. I regret not being able to finish the last build but I am happy it went to a great friend.

These kinda hurt me. Yes one is a blown s10 but it was a fun stupid build. To much power for its own good the 61 unibody I can give all the info a lot of work let’s just say it would take out 100k cas on the street no lie 😁

I miss my two convertibles, a `57 Ford and a `64 Ford Galaxie.
Then I have a similar story to Lowbud, I sold my `68 Doge Super Bee but bought it back after a few years. Also, I have bought my original `47 Ford truck, three times now.

Lol wish I could buy back a few of mine. The super bee 🐝 you should have kept. Me personally ugly but love the history on them

I lost 2 old friends on this one. First the 1959 Panhead I built from the ground up that I had to sell when I was down on luck and two was the old friend I sold it to that promised me I'd get first crack at it if he sold it. He called me years later to wish me a happy birthday and I cussed him cause I found out he sold it!

Thats a cool one, and a similar story:

I bought a '50 Panhead basket case and started to build up, was going for the old school bobber look with jock lid, but I too was down on the luck and traded it all for a '71 shortbed GMC with a camper topper. (I Needed a truck and a place to sleep!) I eventually built that original 292 6 Cyl truck into a 327/4:11 POSI (used to plow snow in upstate NY) hot rod with rock crusher granny gear trans. I very rarely used the clutch, unless from dead stop. I could upshift and downshift that thing and would creep along in the granny low with my foot on the brake until the light changed green. I owned it for over 20 years.
