Hey guys,
I just scored this body yesterday and have combed the net trying to sort out what the heck it is. The car was big with 4 doors and the small rear window. So likely a 3 seater. The header over the windshield is just awesome. Has very cool shape and I can't find anything like it online. The rear roof has a double hard line. Not perfectly round like a model a or t. I am going to make a truck cab out of it. Any help in I.d. on this would be great. Thanks!

Nothing yet...... this car has me stumped. And looks like others as well. I have looked at Studabaker, Hudsons, Nashes, Dodges, Chevy, Fords, Buick, and nothing matches. Really hoping someone will be able to tell me what it is. Was a pretty fancy car. Has some stainless steel screws in the dash and trim. That window header is very cool. The corners at the base of the window have a flat section to them. I have not seen a cowl yet with that. Going to be a nice rat when done. For sure my next project once my 27 model T is done.

Any ideas fellas will be great as to the make and year. Thanks!

well I'll post so it will go back to the top ... it got over looked i'm sure .. there are folks on here that can tell you what type car it is with just that back end picture ,, plus the dash is a good point too.

My guess is it's either a specialty/limited car or something like a Stutz or Pierce-Arrow. More along those lines rather than your big factory production brands. Interesting.

i thought sam may be on to something with a 28 to 29 pierce arrow but the dash doesn't work out.

My initial thought was pierce earlier when I saw the pictures... But didn't have a chance to do digging

I think I found it...

Doc ya nailed it! (well, close... the dash isn't exact - different year maybe?)

While I was looking up pictures of Graham's, I found these:

All I can say is WOW! Thanks a million from the bottom of my heart. That is great and what a crazy name for a car. Now I will go do some research on it. Thanks again for everyone for searching and helping out. Doc kudos to you and may the hot rod gods bless you on your projects!
Thanks,
Jason

I think the dash is the same, only the one has a bezel for the gauges that the other is missing. Good work Dr. Crank, how long did it take to track it down?

DR. I was going to call your name when he first posted this cause I already knew you were the (MAN) [cl[cl[cl[cl[cl[cl[cl but I didnt want to put you on the spot ... if your last name aint GOOGLE I bet its close to it , or he is your kin folk

The doc strikes again. Goldgredger, when you build the cab are you going to leave the doors the same length and have a small window behind the doors? I think that would look cool.

Glad we could help, Gold! Please share your findings and start a build thread when it lifts off...

Bam, it took me a couple hours... on and off. (I'm eternally curious but my patience is different subject.) I do enjoy the chase, however, and happy to contribute to this forum and its members. :D

As Sam noticed, there are differences in the dash photos... four screws in the "crown" piece in one, five in the other. I saved another shot tagged as a '29 Graham... different as well, but very close or "berry clo" as my oriental friend would say. Ha!

Yankee: Me bloody cat stepped on me bloody mouse and thoroughly buggered me bloody replies.

To the best of my knowledge, I'm not kin to Mr. Google... but should he be of Irish descent, the odds increase exponentially.:D

Yes, in my reading and looking at pictures last night I came across someone that has already done a 4 door to truck cab conversion. Yes full size doors with a small rear window like an extra cab. That way I can channel and chop it and still have room to sit in it. Here is the picture I found and yes I will post pictures when it starts coming together. [cl

I think I would try to use the front and rear of the window frame if you could, It would be more symetrical and would look less like an after thought. Just my opinion.

You hit the nail on the head there! Yes for sure take a section from the "middle" moving the front of the window back so it has round matching corners front and rear. Only issue I am going to have is I am missing the passenger door. Finding one will be impossible. So I will have to fabricate a new door or take a model A door and massage it into a door for this one. If I look things over and I have to I can just make 2 new doors for both sides. Either way this project is going to be awesome. I am really stoked on the fact it is an American made car.
