The '49 Plymouth was given to me by my friend, Leo. Now deceased. It was totally disassembled. I didn't do the chop, paint, flames, interior. Basically, I put the Chevy 305, 700r4, 9" Ford rear in it. Wired it, etc.
My old '31 Model A Slant Window Town Sedan was there. Couldn't find it Saturday when I had my camera.

Your builds seriously rock Bob. Thanks for showing us your fine work. More prayers and vibes for Bill to get better. Sounds like a terrific guy.

Thanks everyone. I needed a little boost. Still tired from walking the fairgrounds for 8 hours a day.
Tomorrow we leave for Union Grove Wisconsin. To the Out-A-Sight nostalgia drags.
Taking the dragster, of course.

Yes kids, I go to Gruber's most every Thursday. My posting problems still exist. So, only one picture. The Car of the Week is....this very straight Torino. Dressed in formal black. 40 years with the present owner. Guy looks like Paul Teutel from Orange County Choppers.

Flyin' Brian, the tree trimmer with nine lives, just picked up this plastic '33. Really nice frame and suspension. Dart big block with a blower by Magnum. It scoots.

Friday at Big Guy's

Big Guy's is a BBQ place 5 miles from home. My friend John Reich died last winter. A life-long drag racer and transmission specialist. Yesterday there was a car show, a band, lots of food and a half dozen dragsters assembled in his honor. The beautiful top fuel car pictured is the Tom Hoover car. To the pleasure/pain of the spectators, the crew fired it up. It's quite remarkable when they switch it from start up alcohol to nitro. Lots of popping and cracking. Explosions, you might say. The nitro worm gets into you inner ear and lingers there long after there is silence.
