Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

Thanks all.
3 hours welding and 2 grinding discs later.
I'm calling it welded.
Might blow some heat in to the shop tomorrow and do a little plastic surgery over all the scars.
Not the greatest pics but I'm exhausted.
Keep on keeping on....
Torchie

NICE!!! I thought you were going to take it easy for a while.
You want to come help me? The pay isn't much but it is warmer here.

I am taking it easy POPS.
If I take it too easy I'll just spend what time I have left sitting in a chair.
Pay isn't much here either. But the woman and the food are great.

Heated up the shop and spread a thin coat of Fiberglass reinforced filler over the scars.
My compressor is unhooked so I grabbed a variable speed 8 inch sander and gave it all a quick once over with 80 grit.
Dig the subtle flare around the tail light buckets. Most people will never even notice that.
Next week will be hit and miss as the work on my new leg and both braces start on Tuesday. Along with more follow ups at the Drs.
On to the other side.
Keep on keeping on......
Torchie
p.s. Now it's chair time.
