LOL. 2 people noticed those Crank. You and my oldest daughter. They are more like tongue depressors. I used them to shim up the rear bumper during the mock up. When they fell down I just pushed them under the car. Gone now. I also used them for gap spacing on the planks for the boat bottom.
I saw this car plaque on e bay and thought of you.

Got to POPS. The alternative is unimaginable.

Thanks OI.
Each one of the seams on the 2 rear fenders represents 6-1/2 linear feet of solid welding OI. One tack at a time.
Getting ready to get back out there.
Thanks for the comments.

Just for giggles I payed attention to how long my welding for today took.
23 inches more done. Just under 2 hours with some grinding.
I will need to go back and fill a few obvious holes.
I don't know if that is fast or slow and really don't care.
Never any warpage and it works for me.
Thanks for stopping by.
Keep on keeping on......
Torchie
p.s. Sorry for the washed out pics. I need lots of light to see what I think I see.

I must have fat fingered a button on my phone. The only 2 pics I took of todays progress turned out like this.
Unintended art shots.
Finished up the seam welding on the PS rear fender.
Mid 50's here tomorrow so once I'm back from the first test fitting of the new leg socket it's on to some reinforced fiberglass filler.
Moving forward.
Keep on keeping on.....

Looks great Torchie. That fender looks really solid. I guess could say you've got a leg up on it? Good luck with the new one.
