A fellow at the Glendale swap last month was selling 5 sets from fire trucks from the '20's. All were about a foot in diameter. $250 a set. I wanted all of them but no money.
Looked kinda odd and I couldn't figure out why - no windshield. I think they'll look great. I'm assuming your going to have a windscreen - it'll probably help balance the low look a bit more - as is, the top side looks a little to clean comparatively.
Yeah, I like big old headlights....
What diameter are those? They look great.
I replaced my 7" dia with some 9" dia '31 Chevy lights, amazing difference. '22
Nice lights! However, they are really too low and they won't last long down there if you do much driving. It's your car - do what makes you happy but don't be surprised if you lose one or both lens' before long.
I think they look just fine that low. Would be nice if you could find a thin enough piece of plexi glass to cover the lens just for extra protection but I dont think they sell thin enough and pliable enough to cover and curve without any bubbles or wrinkles. But it would be well worth looking into.
The way I knew about that is... my cousin got ticketed for it in Louisiana. I personally try to keep from attracting unwanted attention... No Officer... those straight exhaust pipes really aren't *that* loud... are they?!?!?!
Love em! Just put a pair of old BLC's on my A Tudor. Replacement lights are cheap. Don't know why the hell everybody's worried about breaking them? Maybe they shouldn't drive so close to the guy in front of them. Drive mine daily, never have broken a headlight lens.
