Kinda sets you in mind of your OLDWING. Lots of simularity.

At the Bugapalooza show in Chattanooga, they used to be a guy came every year with a vw powered motorcycle. It was not as nice looking and he had only put a chain drive from the transaxle to the rear wheel.

I would like to see the trans used on that machine a little closer.

I was at the shop and missed the show last night, but I do remember sometime in the past seeing that bike. Von Dutch was quite a builder, much more than just a pinstriper that he is remembered for. I think he built custom guns too.

He was much more into gunsmithing, knife building and machine work than he ever was painting. He painted for money, but was more interested in his true craft. Some examples are spectacular. As far as the phoney staged television show goes - well, it's just sad...

I was at Bug-a-paluza over the weekend. Only 3 wheelers this time. I remember the bike you speak of. I havent seen it in a while.

So who owns the bike now? Did someone buy it from the A.P. store ,or did they end up keepin it?

Von Dutch was a talented but supposedly tempermantal dude and somewhat difficult to get along with. I'm only going on reports on that, but it seems to be what people say. Maybe the artist in him that made him that way.

Those guns are beautiful works of art, as are the knives. BTW, I think Danny D hinted on one of those episodes that she is not really into guys too much, not that there is anything wrong with that. :D
