What Did Ya Get Done This Weekend?

Didn't get much done, just picked up some parts for the T bucket. A rear axle spring and mounting hardware for the front axle.

What Did Ya Get Done This Weekend?

Picked up a '25 Olds radiator and grill shell. It's about 3/4" too wide for my T frame, guess I'll notch out the side of the shell to make it work.

Has anyone shortened a 4 door sedan?

Oddly enough I actually have shortened a '39 Plymouth 4 door. It had been rolled and the roof was crushed, so I removed the roof to make a touring. I didn't like how it looked so I removed the rear doors, cut the frame and shortened it. Then cut up the rear door to create a patch panel. I...

Anybody build a Traditional hot rod??

I grew up around old hot rodders, it was just normal to me that the old man had a '55 Mercury Monterey with a 312 and triple Strombergs. He had a Model A roadster pickup, juice front brakes added, with a high compression head, side draft carbs, an open drive shaft and a late 50s Fiat rearend. We...

Yes, another rat rod truck build

You've certainly got some nice proportions, I like it a lot. I'd definitely prefer the Ford 289 but a Chevy is certainly the more economical choice.

    Modern cyclecars?

In response to running a live axle in back and a predator engine. Why would I have problems with the wheel and tire size? It seems as if I could buy a number of 14" and 15" rims with the 4x100mm bolt pattern online. Yeah, I understand that a single inboard disc brake wouldn't be ideal but I'd...

    Modern cyclecars?

I suddenly want to try one of these chain drive beauties. How heretical would it be to install a live axle and engine in the rear of my '27 RPU?

    Modern cyclecars?

Back around 1910-1925 these babies were a cheap and affordable alternative to a real car. Bodies were ultra simplistic, some even used wooden frames. Typically motorcycle powered and chain driven, mostly front engine but RWD, though some were rear engined RWD. Basically they were road legal go...

So what do we do for seating these days??

That's just what I'm gonna use. These swivel seats were snagged from a roached out late 50s boat. I just gotta wack a foot from the pedestal height and recover them, they'll work out just fine.

So how do you pick your next project?

I tend to just keep an eye out, something fun always reared it's head. "Weird" projects tend to sell on the cheap, I've picked up Studes, Simcas, Bentleys, Kaisers, Ramblers and even the front half of a Duesenberg on the cheap. If it's cheap, weird, I can probably have fun with it.

Hi everyone, I like to build weird ****

The old man had a V-dub with a square tube frame and expanded metal floors. I always got a kick out of seeing the ground as we tooled around. Both he and that buggy are now long gone but I had a few chunks of his steel laying around.... so I had to use it.

    Anyone running a GPS speedo?

I'm working on a lil something, yet theres zero way to add a speedo to it. Went searching and found these, I'm amazed by them. They make a big headache turn into a (40 buck) non problem. Anyone got any experience with these?

    Christmas lights

I got Nazi problems, HOA Nazis. My Xmas lights are now hung up inside with decor in the windows.
