    Hole in the head project

I found this for a decent price on marketplace. If I can make it fit, i should never be hot or cold unless by choice. It is a pretty big unit for a two seater.

I'm thinking of putting a 90 degree fitting on the power steering hose to make more room for exhaust. Will that cause any stupid problems?

I went for it in the car. I still need to pull it out for gusseting and finish welding. Doing an alignment might be fun. I now have clearance at the steering box. And power steering pump. Starter is tight. But I see daylight. I might move idler arm over a touch. Or move motor to drivers...

    Hole in the head project

I crawled under the car to see what it will take to move the engine over to the passenger side. I'm 1.75" from hitting the control arm. This going to be fun trying to add 1" to my sump box without the house of cards falling ddown.i think I have to pull the subframe. Going rear sump and...

I bought these jegs retro gauges off of marketplace for the benz. 5 inch 160 mph and 10,000 rpm Tach! I think I'm going to build a ferrari-ish dash or at least use this pattern.

Minimum brake caliper clearance to wheels?

Yeah, the model glue didn't last forever. Luckily it failed while I was washing the wheels. I gotta find a better plastic glue.

Almost. It needs to go towards the passenger side a tad. Thinking about switching to a rear sump oil pan and sliding the motor back until everything clears. If I can get the starter behind the idler arm, life should be easier.

Confused 5.3 thinks it's a camaro motor. LS6 intake, modified truck alternator bracket (still need to make the strut), and beat a flat spot on the water outlet for clearance. May need to clearance to alternator bracket to let alternator flop farther. And buy a f-body pump and spacers if this...

It was more work to dig this baby out of the corner it was buried in and move it to the other end of the barn, than I normally do in a day. The brakes on the studebaker were dragging severely.

I slid the box rearward to get the bellhousing and back of the block behind the steering box and the idler arm. I also dropped it an inch lower than the previous cuts. I also will be doing a slight firewall recess.

    1957 F100 build

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1125802-buildup-03-crown-vic-ifs-into-58-f100-8.html Have you seen this thread? With FWD style wheels, he kept the front wheels in the fenders. Any reason that you are dead set on keeping the six? Going later model v8 might be cheaper than sourcing rare ps...

    Hole in the head project

Well. I didn't work on it last weekend. But I did think about what I want to do with the car some more. When I started removing the dash, I was finding cracked/broken plastic where previous people had done work on the car. Since I'm going tohave to rework the console area to work with the new...
