Well, I thought I was going to win but I was beat out by a diesel. I get 31+ but what do you expect, it still has a beetle motor and add L78 back tires.
This spring I will have to get under the car and check mounts as well. Haven't done it since I put it together 2 years ago. I do check my front ball joints and tie rods like Timbo does. The thing is noisy enough being a roadster.
is it spring yet?:(
I looked every where for tires for a set of 8 and 10 inch 14" rims and no one is making them wide enough. you can put a large radial on the 8 but not the 10. At the time there was NOS firestones but they are long gone.
Well I was going to cover any bare metal (there isn't much) with the rust-o-leum rust converter then spray it with the red iron oxide but I probably would be better off with epoxy. I do garage the car and plan on painting it in a year or two.
latest look
Haven't done that much, but now that I have moved I hope to do more than drive it. Although I do enjoy doing that! I am thinking of spraying it with red iron oxide primer and then painting a worn door logo on the sides. Some day I really would like to paint it nice but I still want...
it lives!
Got a touch of spring fever to go with the warmer temps. Moved the boxes and parked one of the cars out side so I could get to the hapster. I put in for the winter and was surprised that the battery was still up! i put some gas in the carb and it started right up! Planning a lot this...
dad's 32
somewhere I have a pic of my dads 32 roadster he drove home from San Francisco after being discharged from the navy just after WWII. no fenders and the mufflers sawn in half. Family lore says they were after him for several counties but understood after they caught him. maybe not a rat...
If you remember I bought nickster's unfinished project and made it my own.
If I would have done the beginning work I would not have removed the windows. [S
not that I have a heater:confused:
Thanks for the props- I have lots of plans for this spring
Here is my roadster...future plans include 41 ford axle and speedway gm brakes. I think I will transfer the front tires to smoothies with moons and trim rings.
Almost forgot I am in the middle of molding the rear fenders into the body and filling the holes. I also ordered a couple of two tube bumpers to play with to see how they will look and am looking for a couple of nicely shaped cycle fenders to attach to the front. It's getting there.
