Sgt , Yes .... I did so inadvertently in my usual state of inattentiveness and fried the one wire from the coil to the distributor ... nothing other than that wire looked to be out of sorts so I replaced it and the points / condenser and coil .... from that point on I had no spark to the plugs ...
