Here's a side view of the model "A".

1946 front Ford spring hung on S10 rear. Welded crossmember to frame(not just rivited). Gusseted underneath crossmember and braced diagonally to frame.

Chop looks like it turn out really well. Good luck with the frame..........

I'd get another original tank. No more dangerous than hanging one on the back..Iv'e run them about 5 times over the years and never a problem......If good enough for Henry!!!
