    just make sure the oil returns ABOVE the oil level in the pan. If you don't have it already, get the book "MAXIMUM BOOST" by corky bell.     chevy 216 oiling questions....

    there is a 1/4" NPT hole under the pressure regulator that drains back into the crankcase. The little loop piece just sends oil down into the lifter area to oil the lifters I suppose. (I haven't quite figured the logic of that yet) in either case, the rockers just barely get oil on a good day...

    Fuel drains from carb

    the carb in my old truck goes dry about that often, but it just evaporates. Not so much now as is it is pretty cold now.

    I finally found my home

    I just found this forum this morning, I live in Seattle, I have a 53 chevy 3100 I have had for 27 years. I am building a new engine for it. Which I have had more failures than successes in doing so. But I am winning slowly but surely. Gotta get the head ready for their 3rd trip to the machine...
