Slould be cool and different. Should be easy to drop too by crankin down the torsions in front and removing a leaf or two on the back springs. Then make a really sick homemade intake and exhaust set-up for the slant six. Now that would be neat.

I use regular rustoleom paint, not thier primer. The acetone makes it paint nice out of the gun and makes drying time less I've found. I get my paint at Lowes or HomeDepot usually. I use dollar general spray can primer if needed for bodywork spots. Only a dollar a can usually.

I've painted over 15 cars with rustoleom.Works great for me. I mix with acetone (3/4 paint 1/4 acetone) with good results. Usually takes about a gallon of paint for good coverage. I've found semi-gloss or satin black gave the look I was after most times. I've also used other colors and mixed up...

Great truck. I'm glad you are using her as was intended for work.My pretty truck gets the same treatment. Maybe you could change the rear gears out or the rear entirely for better mileage. Taller tires help alot also. Anyways, good score!!

You wouldn't hear it anyways. It is quiet as a church mouse. The previous owner put a brand new exhaust system on it. I am going to leave it like that for now.It definitely sounds different from anything I've ever had. Kinda sounds like a six with 2 extra cylinders if ya catch my drift...

I like the Pontiac straight-eight flathead in the first pic. I have the same motor in my 54( all stock of coarse). I really like the creativity of the intake/exhaust fab, looks awesome. Great job!!!

Just picked a nice 54 Pontiac StarChief. Runs and drives now that I tinkered with the carb, fuel pump and freed up the rear brakes. It is a really great driving car with powersteering and Hydramatic. I just love the dash...enjoy.
