Pics of the '54 International R-110 I'm inheriting

Thanks for the insight fellas! I don't have any experience with frames yet, but I reckon there's only one way to learn. :) The main concern that jump to mind is getting the steering components working together. IIRC the gearbox is forward of the front axle and I don't know about the Camaro...

Pics of the '54 International R-110 I'm inheriting

Well, my uncle just simply doesn't have the time and/or will power to do anything with this truck, so he's just giving it to me! sweet deal! He has all of the papers and title and all. It's originally from Washington, but I'm impressed at the overall good condition and lack or rust! This is...

Found some old tin, wanna share the pics!

Good to know, thanks guys. All I'm interested in is the cab, and it didn't seem to have much rot on it. so we'll see if he'll part with it. I'd love to run a dually setup too... so maybe I can get the whole shebang from the guy! we'll see. he's about 1.5 hrs away so I have to plan my trips wisely :)

Found some old tin, wanna share the pics!

Oh and heres a old mechanic's personal parts yard. Needless to say I've recently befriended this guy :D He isn't looking to sell anything right now, but he's "always starting/givingup/finishing projects that can be sold to ya"... so I'm keeping in touch with him. :) Edit: And Oh, that 1st pic...

Found some old tin, wanna share the pics!

In my everlong search for a cab to use... My bro'n'law and I came across this puppy. Can someone help ID the year? early 40's? I don't have the 'eye' for it yet... I have a bad feeling about it, but hopefully the owner will part with it. it's been sitting in the woods for over 15 years, and just...

    Anybody done a 'cab-over' rat?

Yeah. Placing the cab over the rear wheels. Just something different! (wayyyy different) :)

    Anybody done a 'cab-over' rat?

I saw this today but it's a little too beat up for me. (looked like a different truck from afar in the bushes) And had a cool idea of mounting the cab on the rear wheels... I wanna know if it's been done (I mean, I'm sure it HAS, but if you guys know of any!? :D) I'll attach a quick MSPaint...

Normal price on metal? Does this sound about right?

^ that sucks to hear, Don! I can relate to situations like that around here, too. Not with our steel supplier, but other places. People are stupid. :)

Normal price on metal? Does this sound about right?

Thanks for the imput guys! Hillbilly, I'm planning on getting a full 20' section. I can haul it fine. I'm not really "friends" with this steel supplier, but it is a small outfit, and very personality-based-service... So I put on my thickest southern accent and talk about chewin' tobacco and deer...

Normal price on metal? Does this sound about right?

I was at my local supplier and asked him about frame material. I wanted to know about 2x3 and 2x4. His prices are $6.xx and $7.xx (respectively) per foot. So about $120 /$150 per 20' section. Does that sound about right?
