    36 Ford truck on Ranger

You know, we used to be satisfied with incandescent lights, but now any more. I left one tractor restoration as six volt, and I curse the day I made that stupid mistake. I gained some wisdom, thought.

I'm only a Ford guy so I can take a wild guess,--- 1968!

    36 Ford truck on Ranger

I've been unhappy with the 1157 bulbs in my taillights, so I replaced them with LED's. I already had LED's in the front signal lights so I thought I had exchanged the 'bimetal strip' flasher with an electronic one but I hadn't. That became obvious quickly, so I changed out the flasher and all...

    Thursday at A&W.

It was quite cold and a wee bit windy tonight, so only fifteen or sixteen cars came out.

    Endless BS thread

SnoPro, here's some food for thought, my nephew wanted to build a hotrod a few years ago but has since lost interest. He went to Edmonton to university and left a 1956 International truck cab sitting on my lawn. Would you be interested. I don't know the price yet, but it won't be very high.

E-man, it doesn't show up in the picture, but it is clearcoated a little too glossy. If he had used really flat clear it would have been even better.

    56 Ford Fairlane hardtop.

OI, this will be cool, but hard to do. You will have to find a 312 crankshaft, but rods and pistons won't be a problem. A three deuce intake is really, really hard to find, but two fours will be even harder, I think. Y-blocks rev up like a small block Chev. I think Mummert Machine is the place...

    56 Ford Fairlane hardtop.

I asked a couple of knowledgeable guys at the A&W show last night, how to set up the accelerator pump even more. It seems that there are quite a few different nylon cams that are screwed onto the throttle shaft which drive the levers that squash up the pump. Well, mine was the wousiest one, so I...

I went to A&W again. There were a lot of cars there so I took some pictures. The '39 Dodge coupe was there again and I got a better shot at it.

Wouldn't you know it. I had a couple of longish test drives today. One was to the A&W so here she is.

There's even more to the 312 tune-up story. Somehow I got the strange idea that maybe my fuel pump was too good and pumping too much pressure so partly flooding the intake. I found an old pump off of a Y-block in my stash of stuff and mounted it on there. Not counting a stumble at easy...

I think so Smalls, but I had my son-in-law drive it in while I took the '55 Merc. He didn't complain, so I guess it was alright.

    Thursday at A&W.

Well you know what precedes Friday, --- right, Thursday. We had a biggish car show at A&W. Here are some of the cars that I haven't shown much before. The truck that I drove, ['55 Merc] was the one hundredth entry and it looked like there were fifty more after me. My son-in-law drove my '36 Ford...

I get quite a kick out of guys who can appear to be bungling the English language badly, but nobody 'missfollows' them, so they are still communicating proficiently. Keep up the good work, Guys.
