    56 Ford Fairlane hardtop.

Over the last few days I've had many problems with the Holley carb, mostly gas spraying out at the inlet and the metering plate. That bunch of miserableness is all fixed up. But the car did not pass the testdrive. So I changed the coil, naa that wasn't it either. Each thing made the drive a wee...

    Thursday at A&W.

Oh E-man, I misled you. I meant that there are not any car shows in out winter [6 months]. There are quite a few shows in the summer. Also, I volunteer at two local museums and am the president of our northern tractor club, so I'm quite busy. There is a lady that manages all of the A&W's in our...

    Traffic Pix

I'm quite a fan of the early birds up to 1960. Good eye Bob.

    Thursday at A&W.

There were quite a few cars at A&W on Thursday, but I didn't get very far, sight seeing because people kept wanting to talk to me. I did get a picture of a couple of cars though. A '65 Chev and a '39 Dodge coupe.

    36 Ford truck on Ranger

On another test drive I thought I was running lean at 70 mph, especially on the uphill parts. I'm going to put back the 'light spring' power valves in the front and back carbs. Right now I have plugs in them.

Hi, this is my intro to your fabulous forum.

Hello and welcome to RatrodsRule, from northern Alberta. I'm hoping that having a running hotrod will inspire you to drive it while you're building the next one. There are oil bath air cleaners,[I have one on a 1956 Classic], that you have to add oil to once in a great while, [after you clean...

1930 Dodge truck, not a Fargo

I also like them both, but I lean a wee bit more toward the spokes, because the truck may have come with spokes but it wouldn't have come with slots. Oh, Bob, you wanted us to make your decision easier, didn't you.

    56 Ford Fairlane hardtop.

I'm not knocking the Edlebrock, Guys, I just have no idea what's the matter with the car so I will start by trying a different carb. If that cures the problem then I know that I have to clean out the shiny new looking Edlebrock and put it back on. This is just an experiment. I'm more familiar...

    56 Ford Fairlane hardtop.

My Fairlane hasn't been running right for a while and it kept getting worse lately. On the trip to the coolest show in the North the car quit me. I had to haul it home, and then try to figure out what the problem was. My first plan was to change carbs and see if that made a difference. Here is...

    36 Ford truck on Ranger

This morning I took the truck for a six mile test run, and gave it the thumbs up. So now it's put away in the shed and the Fairlane is backed into the shop.

    Hi ALL!

Hello and welcome to RRR. I'm a flaming optimist, so I suggest you go to your registration office and explain what happened, then ask for their help. You might get lucky and have a clerk that has some empathy. All of the guys on this forum can understand that you're not trying to cheat the...

    36 Ford truck on Ranger

I fixed a couple of little things in the third carb today, and found a little spring missing in the distributor so I robbed an old distributor and replaced that spring. I'm pretty sure dirt in the gas line was my big problem so I put an inline gas filter just in front of the splitter log. There...

    Keepi'n the dream alive!

Sorry to hear about the harsh way you acquired the truck, but you have a cool hotrod and cool memento. Do you have some 'build pictures'? Welcome to Ratrods Rule, from northern Alberta.

    T-Bird/Mustang2 R&P for my '30

I mounted a R&P to the frame of my '34 Dodge Brothers truck and ran a cross steer draglink over to the other side of the truck. It looks OK to me but I haven't test-driven it yet. Keep your draglink fairly parallel to the axle. Good luck.
