Got the frame stripped and finished all the welds. Nope got 2 brackets and 2 gussets to go maybe. Got a question. Should I add an X frame brace in the rear of the frame behind the transmission crossmember.

Taking everything apart to finish welding and fabricating on the frame. Then brake lines and stuff like that to complete a rolling chassis.

I'll do the bed in 3 panels. Made a pattern to bead roll the bed floor and transferred it to the sheet metal. Now to get my wife to help me. 😉

I didn't like the upper shock mount I put on. I think the way it was the shock would bind. So I mounted the upper and lower parallel with each other.

Got most of the firewall done. Wow, my brain hurts from doing the firewall. Got the Corvair steering box mocked up. I'm using it because there is no room to put a box in the original location. Cut the old F1 floor up for the rear of the cab floor.

Shortened the universal bracket to move everything to the left. Then I bent the pedal a little too clear the engine.

Installed the distributor this morning. Easy job 2 bolts. Then on to the wires. I hate doing spark plug wires! I had to change it the solid core wires. I did then anyway because I couldn't get the wife to do them! 😆 Started right up first crank! I must have done something right.👍

eBay universal brake pedal set up with supposedly correct drum brake master. It actually fits pretty close. I'll need to shorten the bracket that attaches to the frame couple inches and the same with the pedal. The push rod will need to be cut to length.

Well heck I went and spent my entire months allowance on this baby ! It better be worth it. Between this and the tires I'm eating beanie weinies for a couple month. Stromberg E-Fire electronic distributor and wires. Looks easy enough to hook up.
