Ya I've looked at that, gives me the ability to adjust each bag from nmy phone and stuff. But does not allow preset ride heights unless you buy the control module which is $950. Ouch. I was just about sold till I saw that.
Cool but pricey and I would be guaranteed to lose that remote in the first few days.
I have room on my console so my thoughts are 7 toggle switches with 3 dials and 4 buttons.
7 toggles would work as 4 corners fronts rears and all bags just like the OEM bag controller.
Dials would be front +/-...
Time for an update.
Been working on the air bag suspension. Have tank, compressor, and all the solenoids installed and plumed and wired. All works although i have one sticky down valve in the back Ill have to deal with.
Only problem is I cant stand the sight of the bag controller. Clear plastic...
I'm trying to find the metal c channel glass run that fits inside the door. I have new felts but the metal channel is missing on one door. Anyone know where I might find one?
Got a few more things done. Lighting is all in and works. Working on finalizing the wiring routes before I install the floor-pan completely.
Window regulators were pretty damaged so went the cheap route and installed electric windows, got one side installed.
Have some issues with the e-brake...
Finally, got some time to get some stuff done.
Wiring is 80%, still needs glass, has a box, needs fenders(4 inspection)
headlights, e-brake, rest of cab floor and seat mounting next.
Wow long time no post.
Not alot to report. Car is sitting on all 4 wheels on its own suspension. Pretty Cold winter here didnt get a chance to get much done.
I replaced the front tires and wire wheels(just couldn't trust them) with need wheel vintiques steelies and Micky Thompson Sportsman S/Rs...
Nope, would have loved to but don't think it would fit on the plane...
Don't think they sell "whole" vehicles. Just parts from the yard. They do have a few full cars for sale at this lot, but nothing that interested me.
Only got a few.
Nope haven't found a shop yet. Still have a ton of stuff to do to before any inspection, but just want to get my feelers out for when the time comes.
Had a chance to visit both yards at Desert Valley Auto while on a trip to Mesa.
If your ever in the area and have the opportunity its a worth while trip. The south yard was mostly older vehicles(1920's to 1960s with a few into the 70s)
The North Yard is mostly 1960s and up.
Nothing I really...
Sorry for the delayed response, been a busy couple weeks.
Starting to get close with my build. Want to start looking for a shop that will do my out of province. Need someone who is rod friendly as lots wont even know what they are looking at with my build.
Ya I've read some other reviews and sounds like that's the consensus. I have to remind myself its not going to be a autocross machine either. Thanks for your thoughts, much appreciated. Sometimes i tend to overthink things.
I did go ahead and order them, cant wait to see how they fit.
My concern with height is the roll on the tire. My concern with staying with bias is I want to run similar tires on all four corners. Dont want to run bias in front, radials in back. I'm looking to put the MT's on the back as well as its the only street tire I can find in that size that is a...
Looking for tires for the front of my ride. I mocked up the car with old 17" ford wire wheels with 5.25/5.50 x 17 tires.
The rims are badly rusted and I dont feel comfortable using them. Also I want to go to radials all around. I'm thinking of getting the Sportsman S/R 28x6.0015lt. on some basic...
Yup inspectors don't like helms. Issue with the rod end built into the pitman is how do you attach it to a tie rod. With a a threaded tie rod end I can thread it into a threaded rod and then insert the tapered end into the pitman. If that makes sense.
Im thinking of trying to use my Mopar box(68 roadrunner) but I cant seem to find a pitman arm for it thats straight or doesnt have the rod end built into it.
Any ideas?
So I'm rethinking my steering setup. Really wanted the cowl steering, had a mopar manual box, and everything pretty much built. But the inspection guys here do not like any welding on steering.
Can't do cross steer since I flipped my spindles suicide style due to the travel I need with my bags...
