Nice find torch, looks familiar, got visors and windows to nice. So my c4 had no valve body. I found one for what I was told was a c4 but turns out it was from a c5. So as I was getting frustrated and looking for another valve body, an78 c4 popped up on the local classifieds! Gotta be an omen...

Well just came accross a 78 C4 with 30000miles on it. Guy has a garaged fairmont that he put a 5 speed in. $100 bucks. Can't go wrong.

Well got it for $30. Supposed to be stage 2 shift kit in it. I'm getting tired of this tranny but I got too much into it to let it go.

Well I think I got a raw deal again. Picked up what was supposed to be a c4 valve body. Looking at it I should have questioned it, as it had a smaller valve section where the filter goes. It fits and all but. Now looks like I got a c5 valve body. /sigh Will this work?

Thought about drilling but getting the pattern bang on would be tough I think?. It would be preferred as 2 more inches isn't a good thing in this case.

Explorer rear end. Check Explorer Short side Axle. Check Time to start hackin. Got my cab back on the frame to start laying things out for the chop.

I looked everywhere for adapters except speedway. Sure as $4!] they even have adapters with 5/8 studs already installed. Thanks old iron.

I got a set of Hoosier 22.5x 33 x 15 wheels for free. On 15" x16" rims with a 5x 5" pattern with 5/8" lugs. I'm putting an explorer 8.8 rear under my truck and I'm trying to figure out how to use these as they look awesome. I as hoping for some adapters but they are all 1/2 lugs unless I had...

Shaft turns pretty smooth, no grinding or nastiness. Found a valve body for it that I'll pick up this weekend. Guys selling it with a stage 2 kit, because he's going to a manual body. C4's not to common up here, so I may have to tear into it anyways. Think I got to much into it to walk away...

Got a set of hoosier tires(22.5" wide) with rims. The rims are 5x5" lug pattern. As I am still not set on a diff, what would fit that bolt pattern?

K got all my parts together. Now is there a way to check to make sure this tranny works? The shift lever on the trans is smooth, no notches. I expected it to have some sort of feel for the different gears/reverse/neutral...was expecting some sort of click or something? If not I have a Mustang...
