    LED Tail Lights

I've got LED's in my front signal lights on a '36 Ford pick-up, and on the rear tail/stop lights on a '56 Ford car. They are much brighter, [they haven't burned out yet so I don't know how long they will last], but you will have to change your flasher because the LED's don't draw enough current...

Today I changed the plan somewhat, so swapped ends on the piece I made; what was going to be the left side is now the right side and at the last minute, I remembered that the rubber mount spacers [that are an inch thick] better be placed properly if I'm going to measure stuff correctly. There...

Thank you LB. Today I started on my transmission mount, but I'm not using pipe like you LB, because I can't bend it that nice. Anyhow, I did my "Imagineering" and got a plan in my head for my mount. Here's the start of the rectangle tube weirdness. Pic one.

You amaze me by what you can do with an armload of old tin. Keep up the good work.

    Crapper Tank Arrg

There seems to be very few guys who can work well with wood or iron, Coop. You are one, and I am not. Wood scares me, you can't weld it, heat it up and bend it, or put a compound curve in it.

Bill, I'll gladly let you have this "Caribbean quick step", -------- Oh, wait, you mean just the phrase.

Well I got back from holidays now, and I got over the jet-lag, but still recovering from the Caribbean water quick step. This slows production down somewhat. Anyhow, the motor was sitting at a sharp angle when I tried to line up the back of the transmission with the X-member tunnel, pic one; so...

I made a front bracket today and installed it. Chrysler had a single front mount under the vibration damper. The second picture is looking straight down just in front of the vibration damper.

You guys are lucky you've never had to stuff a marshmallow into a Ketchup bottle. I'm here to tell, that some of the 'marshmallow' incidents are less fun than others. But, Smalls, I am done ---- some of the 'imagineering' anyway. There is a plan now. Gene, there never was going to be hood sides...

Do you guys crave shop time?

I hear you Kenny. I like travelling but I always have the feeling that I'm not accomplishing anything while I'm away.

Hey Guys, you sound even more optimistic than I feel. I sure liked the idea of a Hemi peeking out of the engine bay, BUT, it is so big that it's not just peeking out, it's taking up about 112% of the space. In the pictures today you'll see about where the motor will sit. The fenders will have to...

    How's your weather????

We are in a Chinook now. Today it was 10*C or 50*F, quite a difference from a couple of weeks ago, 98* F change.

I told you about making my clevis stinger into a telescoping bar, yesterday, but I forgot to take any pictures. Here are two pic of the extended stinger. Meanwhile back in the shop, I tried to squish this elephant motor in this poor little truck. Pic three.

Do you guys crave shop time?

Ya, I'm with you guys, I have to be out in the shop almost every day. I really enjoy making new parts or inventing things. One thing about retirement is there is no timetable for you to be done by. That makes fixing a way more enjoyable.
