I used to run around and play with one my best friends back in the day on his grandpas farm, and there was and still is a Model T sitting right out in the open. We probably even played on it. I never payed any attention to it until recently.

Hey man, it looks great so far! The powdered iron sounds like a good idea. An easy place to find that would be shavings/dust from cutting rotors. I'm not a painter but maybe you would be able to mix some fine dust with some clear or something and spray on the top. Or maybe you could spray it...

I would go with brake clean. If you're afraid of hurting any finishes in the surrounding area, then you could spray it on a rag and ipe the wires.

I think a four or six would be cool in a pre-war car/ truck. The size of the post-war cars would make the usual lack of torque a smaller motor has (compared to V-8's) make for a slow and boring ride. You should check out the article in the April 2008 issue of Hot Rod magazine about an Ecotec...
