Thanks guys, its been a lot of work. as for the shop it is the owner of the cars shop and we were there till 1:00 Friday night getting it set up like that for painting. But that is pretty much how he keeps it and everything else he has and that should explain a lot about why the Malibu had to be...

    1936 Packard

I used to think I was a pretty good body man but after watching your work I am beginning to wonder about that:confused:. I am perplexed as to how one guy takes a pile of cut up body parts and stitch's them back together and makes it all look so natural without any body work at all I mean it...

    65 Malibu SS Vert

The main body is very close to paint time and I got the core support ready(had to fill about 20 unused factory holes) along with one fender. Need to get the last fender done then start the endless hours of really stupid detail/detail/detail sanding:eek:

    65 Malibu SS Vert

Last night we got the body back on the chassis for the last time. Now I can get the doors/fenders/hood and deck lid on and finish the body. The whole rolling chassis is sealed in shrink wrap and the underside of the body is covered in plastic so I don't F' up the work that has already been done:eek:

The owner couldn't be happier. As I said at the start of this the truck belonged to his wifes father and her earliest memories are from about 7 yrs old and she is 61 now. He has had this restoration in the back of his mind from when he was 16 and started dateing his wife. She would not even look...

Got it out and drove it around a bit. Very happy with how it all turned out. The difference between drive'n it before and now is huge! So tight and quiet really was worth the effort to use the peel n stick on the floors and in the doors. All n all it turned out good for a resto......Still...
