1930 Dodge truck, not a Fargo

I’d get the front tires I planned on running on it, and look again. It does look like the rear of the cab needs to be raised a bit. Square up the front of the bedside to the cab as well. I’m digging it!

    Isky Assaulted

You’re probaby right Bob, but I’ve got this disease that only lets me speak the truth, pc feelings be damned.:devilish:😁

    Leave it to Beaver

I love old movies and tv shows that were full of vehicles. Even if the show wasn’t interesting, the background scenery usually was. The old Three Stooges clips have a lot of vehicles starting in the 1930’s on the streets. The Dragnet series, both the original from the late 50’s and the one from...

    Isky Assaulted

Isky is one tough sack of bones! Survived WWII, built a huge worldwide business in California before it became a sewer, still around at 102. He’s forgotten more about camshafts than most of us ever knew. And to be still working at an age not many will see, truly amazing! Must be the chilli...

    Some people shouldn't

Beautiful truck. My favorite Chevy. If I had room for another one, that’s what I’d rather have than most anything. Not a big fan of those wheels, but being on a truck they look pretty good, much better than the wagon wheels and rubber band tires everyone else seems to be putting on them.

Second Wind - a Packard Gasser

Beautiful! You’ve done some sharp rides in the past, but I’ve got to say, I think this is your best yet! Looking forward to seeing it on your “ picture road” through the fields.

    no prizes but really???

Sounds like your new hose may be delaminating and slowly blocking flow. May just be a flap of the inside lining that got shoved back when you stuck the hose on the nipple, mand is now restricting flow.

    I'm Gonna Build A Dragster!

I think mine might have been put out by Comp Cams out of Memphis TN. Best I remember it was pretty accurate. Bet it’s been 35-40 years since I saw mine last. At the time I was just getting started trucking, my serious engine building days were closing down. Didn’t even miss the thing for years...

    I'm Gonna Build A Dragster!

Had one of those years ago. Wish I knew what became of it. Probably somebody liked and thought they needed it more than I did at that time…

    Hercules

It’s not the oil, it’s the sorry metal in the cams and flat lifters. There hasn’t been a US built engine with a flat tappet cam from the factory since, what, 1995? The cam blanks being turned are majority roller blanks and are treated a different way. The few flat cam blanks made are stored...

    Tech Assist

I’d run 3/8” fuel injection hose for the power booster. It will cost more per ft, but it won’t rot in six months like normal fuel hose does anymore.

just got this will make a nice rat rod

No way I’d cut that up. 50’s MoPars came from the factory rusting, one in that condition is a survivor. Somebody is looking for that car, you might be able to flip it for some good money.

    '34 Dodge Brothers, double build.

Mac, I find flat black paint covers a lot of sins. Don’t want something to stand out, flat black it, it’ll blend into the landscape!

    Front shock & spring questions/advice!

When you cut the spring it made it stiffer because it doesn’t have as much room to compress. It’s not hitting the bump stops is it? Any way to go to an adjustable coil over?

    Who Can Relate?

Thanks Old Iron, I checked everything under there while I had the heater box out. For sure hope to never do that job again, if I do I’ll probably just go ahead and pull the dash. Gene, mine has a vent there, but no gills. I had to access the hoses and clamps from underneath. Not much room, had...

    Hit and Run

Probably some lowlife driver without insurance. You know they had to feel that, so that’s not an excuse. That’s why we can’t keep nice things, some people just don’t care….

    Who Can Relate?

I’m right there with you. I’ve been replacing the heater core on the wife’s C3 Vette the last couple of weeks. Yes, it has taken me nearly two weeks to replace a heater core. Had to take out the console, center and right dash. It’s also getting all new hoses, the lower radiator hose took 4 hours...

    Mecum's Auction Glendale

Thanks Snopro, that’s a good site to price national trends. Not saying what I gave , but I beat all of those, but mine does still need the fadeaway stripe kit, will do that when it gets warmer and stays warm. Even buying the stripe kit and the interior stuff I needed, I’m still on the very low...

    LED Tail Lights

We had leds in all our trailers. One of the companies that made them came out with some that were heated so the ice and snow would melt off them. Never bothered me since I didn’t run snow country very often.
