I want to power my bead roller

I have been looking for the right gearmotor that does not cost a ton of beans nor cheap and easily broken... I have found a couple on Ebay in the neighborhood of a hundred bux that I may bite on. I was just wondering if anyone on the board has done one? I started with a bead roller from...

Got rear-ended in my Olds today.

You have a night time lit up shot of that? I like it!

What does your garadge look like

I built this in '06. It is 24'x40' and has 11' walls with scissor trusses on the left end for my lift. The truss idea I stole from my father in law. It was a bunch cheaper at the time over building the entire shop with taller walls. I must not have had my electrical inspection done yet as there...

How much frame in front of firewall?

I plan to build an entirely scratch built car. I have seen quite a few builds where the chassis is built first and the body is built second. I have an overall plan, I am trying to iron out a few details before the first weld is burned. My thoughts were to build the chassis first, but after...

How much frame in front of firewall?

I know this is subjective, but how much frame do I need in front of the firewall? I plan to use a 350/700r4 combo, suicide front, and possibly a small recess in the firewall. I have searched with all the terms I could think of and came up blank... I read somewhere that 31.5" was a good number...

51 F1 I had since 95 just got to it!!!

I am not trying to pick on you, but your seat brackets raised my eyebrows a bit. I would weld a piece in from front to rear on each side of each seat. In the event of a crash your seats are going to hit the floor. Looks like a fun project!

    What the heck is PeopleofWalmart.com?

That there was funny. I made sure to forward that on to a former co-worker who I knew would appreciate it.:)

What kinda drugs is this guy on?

When I was younger (and down for that kind of thing) I was visiting a buddy who lived in Phoenix, we got a hold of some stuff that made it across from MX... I think he has the same stuff.

had to break down and fire up the wood stove yesterday

I had to fire the wood boiler up over a week ago. Garage was getting too cold, plus the house was chilly. I had it set on 68 today in the shop, my brother stopped by and said it was cold.... I was sweating.

    Endless BS thread

I have seen that picture before. Best I have seen was 155 (an average of three speedometers on our bikes mine said 160, but I wasn't watching it much) on I-96 East returning from Grand Haven one night. That speed on a public road was insane looking back at it now. I sold my last bike when I...

Yeah, I should get over it. My wife asked when the new compressor was coming... I told her I am having issues. Rental places here only have portable units too small to even come close. There will be a post declaring my new acquisition. With pictures of course.

    Endless BS thread

Here's one for you. My air compressor pump is dying (and not enough CFM anyway). I have a big job coming in before too long and there is no time for me to hand sand an entire E150 cargo van from end to end. So, I discuss this with my wife and we come to the same conclusion, I need a compressor...

So, the motorcycle cops have fold up tow dollies? Oh my, no parking tickets the car just gets towed on the spot. Probably more to it than that, but wow that is ingenious. I wonder what the tow rating is.

Classic Car/Hot Rod As A Daily Driver In The Mid-West

I considered this a long time ago. I came to the conclusion that I would hate to see what one winter would do to it. Around these parts there is a a mid sixties flat black and lowered Chevy or GMC pickup I see year round, never seems to look any worse than it did the prior year. IIRC you live...

    ED "Big Daddy Roth"

Well this was inspired by Ed Roth, done by an oldtimer in my shop a few weeks ago.

Mmmm, Chicken. I had some of the best BBQ chicken and pulled pork just outside of the Detroit area back in June. I wish I could remember what the name of the joint was. I had to go pick up the sliding door for this.

Is this the total time it takes waiting for water to boil, then boil for three minutes? What is your altitude? Propane, Natural Gas, or electric stove? How much water? What size pot?

Kind of slow in my head too. But I do have some misc. ramblings going around in the vast emptiness. I just finished a 2000 F250 for a guy and wanted to give it to him yesterday. As luck would have it, I ran out of trim and emblem tape and I could not find my tube of emblem glue. One stinking...
