    36 Ford Bobber Build

I started on blending the A pillars last night. They're going to fight me a bit of coarse. I need to start shaping the upper edge of the door before I go much further though so that I can tell what exactly in need to do to get the gap around the end of the drip rail to look right. That's...

    36 Ford Bobber Build

Thanks for the tips. A lot of my windshield opening issues were hidden but massive amounts of lead so, if you didn't pull the lead out, you may just not know that it's really like that down deep:D I was already planning to go get some 1/8 rod tonight to build up the door edges:) I have to do...

    1930 Buick Rat Rod

Maybe some more pics from different angles would clarify what you've done there. In that pic it looks pretty cluttered up and hard to tell what's going on.

MercuryMac, thanks a bunch for the pics! There is a groove around the windshield frame to jam the seal into. Looks like that seal seats on the outer "groove" I guess of the opening. The inner flange on my cab is pretty wavy and the factory welds along the top are horrendous! Seams like that...

    36 Ford Bobber Build

Thanks everyone! Ya, getting to the grinding stage is a big milestone for sure! There's still a batch of things to do but the end is in sight. I'm definitely looking forward to work on the frame and drive train stuff! At the same time, I'm excited to chop my Willys once I get this truck...

    36 Ford Bobber Build

Thanks! I'm really liking the look myself. I got the roof and the back of the cab all welded up tonight. I have a bit more to do on the A pillars and a little bit on the inside of the rear window opening. Then I have a whole lot of grinding to do.

1986 Chevrolet C10 Reg Cab Long Box - Not your typical Rat Rod

So what's your plan with this? I like the thought of big tires but dropping it low! Will you cut out the wheel arches or tuck the tires up in the wheel wells?

I've been watching too! Amazing amount of work you are doing! Keep it up. I've got a question for ya. Why not just put a steering box on the right side and do away with all the chain drive stuff? Are you doing that just to have it be different?

    36 Ford Bobber Build

I got the door tops fully welded on and have been plugging away at welding up the top and back of the cab. On the doors, I still need to blend the outside flanges front and back and grind the welds out but the rest is done. I'm posting lots of pics of these bits since, when I've looked for...

Kenny, I've looked at those before too. Have you ever seen them in person or used them? They are cheep enough that I sort of wonder how good they actually are...

Thanks! Great looking seats. They are definitely the same as the seats I have do either the guy I bough mine from published the pattern or he used the same pattern and is selling seat based off of it. I wish I had your skill with a sewing machine to make my own covers but I most definitely do...

Hopefully you get your inspection sorted out soon! That's gotta super frustrating. I'm really glad we don't have them here:D Too bad about the carb. I've had similar issues with parts too. My carb was fine but other stuff has cause me plenty of grief so I feel your pain. What seats are...

    Seats

Thanks guys. If I get these, they'll be for my 36 Ford pickup so they probably won't need to be adjustable. I'm pretty sure that I could sort something out if I did want to put sliders on them though. Probably just a plate that bolts to the mounting points of the seat and is wide enough to...

    Seats

I found a killer set of low back buckets that I wanted to use in my 36 only to measure and find out that they are too wide to fit. That got me looking at my options for seats and I found these boat seats that look alright and are within my budget and more importantly are the right size. They...

    48 DODGE Pilot House Rat

Damn! What kind of idiot would want to pull the 440 to put in a 350 chevy:eek::eek::eek: As you said, I get that they are cheaper and available, but that only makes sense when you are building, not for something that already has a good and infinitely cooler engine in it!

    1929 Essex/Truck

I guess that if you notice a problem with it, all you really have to do is add two more air guns to your setup or put a ball valve in one front and one back line so you can open it them, air it up, then close them to block side to side exchange. Then you just open them again to air out...
