    Behind The Barn Find

    No rear suspension ratrod

    this morning at the the local JY, i bot 4 link bars and 3 panhard bars for $55. they are 24 inches long and the panhard is 40 inches. they were from a late 90s Kia Sportage (it took 2 Kias to get that many). there is also a 3 link in a mid 90s Isuzu Trooper. Build some brackets out of 8 guage...

    i think you are correct to use the shorter hood if you are doing the susp. the way you are. keep up the great work! the roof looks awesome. oh, and i'll be watchng as long as it takes.

    oh the 66 is just a rusty primer stock height w/ some old chrome wheels truck. it is a big back window tho. lots to do on it still. gotta fab up some seat mounts to level them out, all the small stuff like that. It has been my grandfather's for 31ish years now and he used to be an iron worker...

    i am a huge fan of this build. i can't wait to see it w/ sunshine beaming on it! how much longer til you got it driving? just weld the rear and u can make u-turns in 30 yds i bet.

    2 new additions!

    omg, i am digging the 60s truck roadster. that may be the project after the 66 GMC (that is after the current project). so, you may see it 2-3 years.
