1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

Got her pretty much done. I got the running boards on and the wheels powder coated hammered copper. What do you think? She sure runs like a bat out of hell! Really glad we went with the 4:10 posi rear end....Click on the bottom picture for engine running video.

Got the exhaust put on today. It sounds great. Nice and low toned duals. I also took the wheels in to get them powder coated a hammered copper. Should really blend with the look of the truck I am thinking. Stay tuned............... Aaron

Here's the first drive. Went good except it needed more tranny fluid. Like 9 quarts in all. I now have it on the trailer to get the exhaust system on it tomorrow and than all it needs is the wiper, mirror, horn and running boards mounted and she's done. I am thinking about powdercoating the...

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

Here are some pictures of the progress. Haven't had a whole lot of time to work on it the last 6 weeks, but it is about 95% complete at this point. I still have to mount the steering wheel (been waiting to finish up the wiring), drag it over on the trailer to get the exhaust put on it and than I...

Oh yea, it's getting rear fenders and full running boards. I have not had a whole lot of time to work on it the last few week or so with being so busy at work, but the complete new wiring harness is about 95% installed. I am waiting on the new dash gauges to finish up the dash and she will be...

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

I have the bed and the front clip off for the last time. I figured it would be easier to install all the wiring with it off and I still needed to paint the back end of the chassis. I got the ecu tuned and everything shut off I won't be needing computer-wise. When I get it on the road, I have to...

Thanks guys! I have not posted pictures this week because I have been just trying to knock off small things on my list. I got all the in-tank fuel system upgraded in the tank, all the bed floor cross supports are installed. The wood floor is mounted. I made a battery tray that sits at the front...

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

Tonight the truck turned a corner......... After I got the old barn wood floor in the bed laid out I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face for about 45 minutes. It's like it is finally getting it's personality and attitude now. The rugged look of the old barn wood fit the truck like a glove...

Thanks! Unfortunately I'm a little OCD with the clean thing at home and the shop. I actually stop about every hour and put all tools away and sweep the floor. It's nice for me to work that way. I am lucky my wife is the same way, so she understands. If I remember correctly I went with 2" to...

Thanks for the nice words guys. Glass is in! Really made the truck look like it is close. The door glass was pretty tough. Putting the glass and regulators was easy, but I got new felt to keep it from rattling and installing it wasn't fun.........

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

I have been gone for a couple weeks down south so lost some time on the build, but now am back at it. Before I started running the supports for the bed floor, I decided I needed to throw the front end on to make sure my running boards looked ok between the fenders. Wouldn't want the rear being...

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

Been plugging away at all the small stuff. I got the heater/defroster in the cab and the hoses plumbed to it, power steering all wrapped up, lower radiator hose on, all fluids in the engine, seat frames and mounts made, got all the new tinted glass being cut with new rubber and seals on the way...

I am trying to tie up loose ends. I got the "fly-by-wire" spoon throttle in and the brake boost/pedal assembly. I decided to go with a hangar that is an 8" dual-diaphragm for the 4 wheel disk brake setup. I also got the tunnel finished up with the Lokar shifter in and functional (waiting on the...

1946 Ford Truck over S10 Frame.

I have the cab back on and have been doing the transmission tunnel inside. I will get it finished up tonight. I used 16 gauge on the floor and 18 gauge for the tunnel. It is very workable. I also went in underneath with a floor support and a driveshaft loop for safety. I also got the radiator...
