Hey guys, I just picked up a nice set of buick 90 drums. I been reading for days on guys doing the conversion. I have the correct hubs and spindles already but need to know if a set of 47 Mercury 8 backing plates will work out. I already own them. Still on the car so I cannot check the fit yet...

Well checked the cars I have one trim off the passenger side looks nearly the same as driver side. Looks like it has slightly more bevel at the rear edge than the front but it would work if you really need it and it is perfect condition. I am missing the driver trim on this car and the other one...

Here is a shot of the 46 when I got it. We have pretty much had to change everything the previous owner had done. It was a mess and most everything that had been welded just falls apart with a little pressure or pulling. But here it is when I got it. Got some more done today. Bed is now sitting...
