Shizzle, yeah I think I got hot w/ the grinder. I actually ended up cutting out part of the area and redoing it. I was going along great until I had that snafu and got the fubar result !! :) I have laid off the lid for a while - been doing some firewall, painting, motor and rear end work...

Got rear end set up and spring perches welded in. Went to 4 baseball games and drank a lot. Oh yeah, went to Niftee 50tee's show Saturday night. Church this morning.

I have had really good luck w/ Jeg's too. I have ordered stuff from them and it's there in 2-3 days. Wish I could say the same for Chassis Engineering - more like 3-4 weeks w/ those guys. Good stuff though.... Tripper, wasn't your Chevelle motor a crate engine?? Did they not put enough carb...

Fuzz, thanks - sounds great to me. One other question, how much travel should you allow for on the tranny yoke?? Or how much is too much....

Fuzz, "in time" I presume means that the u-joint caps are 90 deg apart, right? So with the -8 deg on my tailshaft and fact that I'm using the Ford rear end, how do you recommend that I set up the rear?

Fuzz, this makes sense to me, but if you don't mind check post #5 in this thread where I attached the diagram. On the last example it talks about a 6 degree tailshaft angle and offsetting the angle the other way @ the differential. It says it won't work w/ that kind of angle - will have...

Can you get that thing inspected and licensed to legally drive on the street?
