    6v+ to 12v-

Thanks Mac. Well the good news is at the moment it doesn't have a heater motor. The PO wanted a racecar and stripped it out. Also it doesn't have an ignition switch at the moment. Same reason. It is running off toggle switches.

    6v+ to 12v-

So from what I have read, converting a 6 volt positive ground system to a 12 volt negative ground system is as simple as swapping all the lights and the starter cylinoid. Is this true? I am not using the original radio. So do I need to do anything else?

    Front Disks

Change out your ancient 1955-56 front drums with 3 bolt 11" drum spindles for affordable disc with our CNC laser cut brackets. These cold-rolled steel adapters and new custom hubs bolt straight on to your drum spindles. You will not need to reuse your drum hubs. This setup uses 1999-2006 Jeep...

    Front Disks

Years ago I had a 73 Duster. Drum brakes all around. Replaced the rear end with one out of a Lincoln so I had disk. The front, I used Dodge Aspen spindles to get disk brakes. I'm cheap, but this is a safety part, so it has to be done right. I just got a new rear end for the 55 Desoto. Now I am...

    "Bad names and dirty words"

I got the car from a dealer. He was pretty honest when he told me that he knew very little about it. What he did know was the guy he got it from wanted to make a drag car out of it. The guy took the wheel cylinders and rear brakes completely out. So I was reading prices and the cylinders are $38...

    mercury flathead

Yesterday I came across a mercury flathead v8 out of a 51 Lincoln. The guy says it's all there but needs rebuilt. He is asking $2500 for it. I personally think that is outrageous. I have no need of it, but have several ford friends. I don't want to send them to a guy that is just nuts on his...

    "Bad names and dirty words"

Dad came up with the name so he could call the truck that and try to get us to go tell mom he was saying "bad names and dirty words". He had that kind of humor

    "Bad names and dirty words"

The bracket is done. Steel plate was free. The hard part was finding the nuts. Chrysler used long winded (read fine thread) ones back then. needed 4 5/16 x 24. Cost me 48 cents.
