1920's Dodge Funeral Car (truck)..

This is a Dodge funeral car (truck) that Rod Hatfield restored.
I am guessing early ‘20’s for the year.
They do not make them like this any more.
A very cool “final ride” in my opinion.
And I love the license plate..

This photo interests me because it is one of the few Dodge’s that I have
seen with the same windshield , windshield posts and dash (even though
it is “backwards” ) as my 22 Dodge (which used to be a touring car).

Here is one a little bit older, not quiet a rat rod but still cool.... The Black Moriah hearse carried those killed at the O.K. Corral to Boot Hill. It was the first “vehicle” to ever have curved glass, is trimmed out with gold, and is reportedly worth nearly two million dollars.
Its in Tombstone AZ.

Definitely a lot of craftsmanship 22. Etching the glass must have taken some time.

We still have a horse drawn in my town it makes for a very stylish final ride...

we also have a Classic Hearse Register takes all sorts! they come to the event I marshal I'm hoping one of them will take me for my final ride when that day comes - check them out at hearseclub they even have members from the US look in "members for the pic's

The transformation of a trashed 1941 Cadillac Hearse

This is off the subject of the DB Hearse but I've always been sort of captivated with the story of this 41 Caddy Hearse. I love hearses! (I spent 17 years in the Funeral business myself.) This car was bought new in 1941 by a Funeral Home in Ontario Canada. After many years of use it was sold. Then after many years of just rotting away it was found in a barn in pretty bad shape by the original owners family. They re-purchased the heap and then hired a guy to restore it and this is the result. It was put back into service after it's restoration. Hard to believe it's the same car.

Wow, that is a nice one.
The carved gothic panels are something else.
It is hard to believe that someone would let it rot to that stage,
but I am glad they could save it. Beautiful car.
