I was wondering if anyone knew the torque spec for these wheels. I just got the adapters from MT products and want to make sure I put the right amount of torque on them. Thanks, DK

torque

p.m. blue eyed devil, he has lots of exper. with older suspension and wheels he will kno. i know that it depends on many factors when torquing wheels rim material and stud size are the biggest. as each have there own stretch/crush values. dp1

Thanks for the vote of confidence dp. I have been known to mess with this old junk from time to time. Haha. On the subject of the adapters, I would reccomend calling MT and seeing what they recommend. I personally do not run adapters, and especially with a early Ford wire wheel. They were never designed for the weight, speed and abuse they are subjected to even when they were new. Now fast forward 75 years and put them on an "adapter" for something they aren't supposed to fit? No thanks. Early ford wires depended on the mating of the brake drum and wheel basket for their strength, and I would never run them any other way. I KNOW how I drive! :D
