Alright, I figured i would share steps on my build and maybe it will help others down the road. Since i haven't been very good at keeping track (crappy camera), i will do the best i can with it.

I spent yesterday asking some questions about how to set up my rear frame since it was hitting the ford 9" i have installed. I received some great advice on how to move forward with fixing this, so here we go: The first picture is what i was dealing with. The rest of the pictures in this first thread, are the steps i am taking to fix this problem C notch.

Here are the pics after i cut the C out of the frame, bent my piece of metal for the C Notch, then welded it in place.

Thanks shea, glad to share the pic's.......I am planning on adding another piece of metal across the top of the frame as well as a cross brace from frame rail to frame rail, kind of like a box. Hopefully it will be strong, but i recon i never know. First time at the C Notching.

C notch frame extensions

Here are pictures of my C notch frame extensions to help strengthen the frame rail i removed:

Looks to me like ya done a pretty good job. In the future try and stay away from hard angles. I try and use curves anywhere i can to keep the flow. Again looks great. Will keep an eye on ya.

Frame axle extensions completed

Okay, here is the completed C notch's with the frame extensions. I put the tires back on and sat the truck down.......:

Thanks for the kudos annamel and i wish i could have stayed away from the boxy look, but i figured it being the frame and there will be a truck bed sitting over those c notch's, i would be okay. I have never done C notching before so i based the notching off of what i figured would give er more strength......Hopefully as i continue building the truck, i will be able to give my work more of a continuous flow.

Alright, i got the front end up off the ground finally. Before i had it sitting about 1/2" off the ground, now it sitting at 3" off the ground. (the frame).
