1967/68 Dodge I Beam axles

Has any one used an axle from a 1967/68 Dodge 3/4 I Beam axle in a car, and hung it suicide style?

I looked at two of them today. There are very affordable disk break conversions available.

If anyone has done this I would appreciate any pictures or advice.
