Gibbons Fiberglass used to make a conversion kit for those...came with the side panels, rear door, and the header panel above the rear door...seems like they were available in stock height, or with a 3" chop?

I just saw one, (the whole kit), at a swap meet bake in October...they're still out there...

Ford had them available from the factory back then too...maybe what you saw was an original?

Rod & Custom

Rod And Custom Mag did a whole series on muilding a 30 sedan delivery called the "Winged Foot Express" It used the gibbons body parts.
Great project.
Here is one I built from scratch making fiberglass molds and then the body.
It lives in So Calif now last picture is how it looked the last time I saw it.
I still have the molds.

have fun
Tom

woodie body

Hi Robert
I made molds for a complete body, as shown in the pictures attached. The wood is attached to the body as a veneer screwed from inside so no fasteners show outside.
The red one was a sedan delivery type and the other one is a woodie with 2 side windows and a large back door. I have also used the molds for making just the cowl section. The green one bought just the cowl section and built the rest himself.
Have fun
tom

smart

you did good ., i think you did a really nice job on what you have done, where did you find that much clothe at once, if you don't mind how much do have in the body on the orange $$$$$ and material you do good work[cl [cl thanks

If you go to a fiberglass supplier the prices are much cheaper then a marina. This was about 3 years ago 55 gal resin was about $1000. I think you could get about 3 bodies from that and I buy chopped strand mat by the roll they charge you by the pound.
I sold the black body for $3500. about 3 years ago. The finished red one was sold about 10 years ago for $9500. as it looked in my avatar picture.
