Picked up this body at a swap meet a few weeks ago, got the chassis for it today. Set the body on and it almost was a perfect fit. Im gonna cut the frame in half (front to back) and stretch it so the front wheels and steering wheel are in the proper place. Have to narrow the steering mount frame as the car body narrows quite a bit as you go forward. Should be a pretty easy build, not sure to what I'm gonna do as far as paint goes yet, rat or Easter egg.

If you really mean Easter egg - NO!

If you mean shiny black paint and flames - OK.

If you mean rat as in rusty, faded paint, bogus garage name on the door, etc. - maybe...

I might go with flat black/red/gray/white (pick one) and scallops. Flames are cool, but seem overdone on stuff like that.

Your the one going to be seen in it so do whatever makes you look cool...
I'm looking all over my hard drive for that funny photochop picture of the cop in the pedal car running radar from the HAMB but can't find it

My Grandaughter is 3 years old ......

I had won a custom flamed metal pedal car at the auto rama one year and it's been sitting in my barn.... I got it out tfor my grandaughter to ride... after about 10 minutes of running it up and down the driveway, she came up to me and said"Papa..... when are you going to make me a hot rod?".... I almost fell over..... I asked her if she meant like the pedal car... she said"no, I want one that goes by itself...and started making engine reving sounds....I was floored....

so... I've been scrounging around looking for enough tubing and such to build a frame.. found an old 3hp horizontal shaft lawn mower motor i had sitting around..... Papa's going to build her a "hot rod".....just what I needed another project...lol:)

I'd move the axle to the front so that the center of the wheel is lined up with the front of the grille........just my .02 :)

Agreed. Might be too much, but can't hurt to do a mock up.

When I saw "Easter egg" in the poll, I thought 'Are you seriously asking that on RRR?!':D

Well it is Easter time :D

I'll have to trim some of the un needed frame work around the axle so I don't have any unnecessary clutter hanging out there or maybe hide it with some type of bumper. But I do agree they need to be moved forward, now I need to find an old power wheels car ot truck to rob the wheels from.
