Does anyone have any pictures of their build with those years of Chevy,

I'm 6'1" and really want to talk to someone who owns one of these trucks in this year model. Did u chop it, how much ? with the windshield at it's norrowest point originally being 11" did u regret the chop ?

I've sat in my cab a hundred times on buckets, boards and also my shop chair so I dont no if it's the thrill of sitting there going va..rooooooom va..rooooooom or weather I've convinced myself it's roomy enough or if I really need do some work on the floor and fire wall. The floor is spotless no rust anywhere and I was not going to cut it ? or would I be better off cutting channeling and just go all out ??

And does anyone have any other pictures of this truck,I had some but they got deleted. I'm not going with the hood, but I really liked how this truck turned out. Any help there would be aptreciated.

Can't help you with additional photos of the truck you posted, but since you asked for inspiration, I like the truck below. It's not chopped so a tall fella should still be able to squeeze in the cab of such a creation.

A buddies truck, cant tell from the pic but he added about 5" behind the door so he had more leg room.

Gastrick, Sneakysnake, Thank you. I need to get my seats and with some adjustments and angling the bottom seat up, I'm thinking I can make this work.

But if anyone one has any 36 37 38 chevys please let me see them especially looking to see the inside of any of them also. And still looking for any pics of the truck I posted..

Height is just one factor, you have to add in age. I am 6'1" but don't fold near as well as I used to. And I need a lot more cushion under my rump these days too.
I know I'll probably never get around to this but I have an idea to stretch an old cab and do it very subtly. I would have 2 sets of doors and just cut 2 doors, weld them back together so the door was about 4"-5" longer than stock. Then stretch the cab to make them fit.

Here is a 38 chevy my buddy built and he and his brother are both 6'1" and the truck is chopped 4" and they fit in the truck comfortably

Here is mine.. still working on it

efc5caf8.jpg

I chopped mine 2" and ended up raising the floor about 3 due to trans clearance problems... space is definitely a little limited, I ended up recessing the floor for my heals a bit because I was catching the steering box with my toes.

FYI... the 37 and 38 cabs have a 1" taller front window opening...

you can take a look at my build thread to see how I did the floor, also my seats are quite low to the floor... let me know if you have any questions..
