Currently disassembly of 36 ford p/u. Noticed 4 screws under dash cover. Can this piece of metal be removed? Also, Above winshield where wiper motor sits, is all rotted. Not sure whats available or what can be done. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

Don't think anyone makes a repair panel for the area above the windshield. You'll have to cut out the rot and form a clean piece of metal to weld back in there. We need pictures of the four screws in the dash.[P

I moved the dash cover on my '36. The 4 screws across hold it but I don't remember how it was fastened at the top. Must not have been welded because I still have it intact. My crank mechanism and hinge points were so rusted that I did away with the windshield frame, made up a lip on the inside of the opening and installed the windshield with a rubber molding.
