Hello,
New to this site. Thought I would share my first build. Its a 39 Ford truck cab, 35 grill, home built bed (wood one was for mock up). It has a 351 Windsor motor, FMX trans, 3" rear end. Chopped 4.5 inches, no channel. Frame is 2"X4" rec tube pie cut in the front, kicked up in the rear 22 inchs. Suicide front end and coil overs out back.
I had a shop do the frame, chop and weld all the mounts on the frame. Didnt trust myself yet with the frame/suspension welds. I am finishing the rest. The bed is almost done, hopefully this weekend. I still need to do the brake lines, shocks, electrical, gas tank, battery box, finish welds on floor and firewall, windows etc.
The wheels, frame and suspension will all be powder coated but the body will be as you see it, raw.
These are old pics, I will get some new ones soon. This stuff is alot of fun to learn. Got out of motorcycles and now into cars/trucks.

Got some work done this weekend. I had to modify the bed frame a little. I didnt account for the full compression of the rear suspension before and had to cut some of the frame apart and make the axle cut out bigger. Thats done now. I got the side panels bent and cut the panels out. Those are tacked on now. I still need to make a tailgate, and make the mounting brackets. The stake pocket need to be welded in also. The measurements in case anyone was wondering for the bed are 24" deep, 64" long, and 49" wide.
I have the framework for the seat done now. Just need to bolt it to the floor/frame.
More to follow.

Yesterdays progress.
Bought the 2"X3" tubing to weld onto the sides of the rear frame section so the bed frame bracket have somewhere to bolt to. Notched out the front and rear of them and cut the structure to size. Cut the steel for the brackets too.
The wife comes out to the garage and says .."it dosent look like you got much done today?" just what you want to here when your doing the tedious stuff.
