I am taking the idea from a gentleman on the HAMB, and plan to use the rear spring perches off a pooched Model A rear end, cut them off (with two of the flange bolt holes to keep some meat to weld too) and weld to the flanges of the 1940 rear end I plan to use in my A. My question/concerns are that the spring perches compaired to a model A are about 3/4"-1" wider then the stock model A rear. I do plan to run a reverse eye T spring to drop the rear end of my A as much as possible. Other then the risk at the point of installation, I am not sure if this extra little width is going to be an issue for me or not.
Anyone with some insight, comments concerns would be greatly apprecaited.
