48f1 Cab and doors;

I got what I wished for, for Christmas.
I got a cab with the doors + an extra door, It has all the dash in it plus gauge pod. Now I can start the 5 inch chop on my top. I got it from a fella on the HAMB that lives in OKC. Went and got it this morning on a trailer, in the sleet and freezing rain. But it was worth the frozen hands and feet. Best of all it was FREE.

I'll try to get some pics, It's on a trailer in my neighbors back yard. And IT IS COVERED WITH SNOW. The top is in a lot better shape than my 50. I think I'll do a practice chop before I start on mine to get the feel of it. What do you think.

Good deal on the freebies. Is that whole cab in better shape than yours or is it just the roof that's better. If the new cab is better, I'd swap the entire cab out and do the practice chop on the cab with the worst roof.

Just the top is better from what I could see for the ice and snow it has now dents. Mine has a bunch on little dents on it, plus the drip rail on the pass. side has about a 4 inch flat place on it.

Here is one a friend drove as a daily for several years. 4 inch chop I think, still lots of room in there for use 6"+ guys.

F1 Chop

Hey Rusty,

I hope you post pictures of your top chop. I have a 51 I'd like to do a 4" chop on also and I need all the help I can get. This will be my first chop.
