64 f100 steering specs?

does anyone have a shop manual that lists the endplay,torque values/shim thickness etc.
for the manual steering box of a 64f-100?
i need to rebuild mine
and while the gears are good.
i need some more info before i go nuts and start screwing things up..

I have the 61 thru 63 shop manuals. The gear box was the same all 3 years. I would bet '64 was the same also.

These are only for the 2wd.

Torques (ft-lbs)
Worm cover bolts/locknuts: 60-80
Sector shaft cover bolts: 17-25
Adjust. screw locknut: 32-40

preload: 3-6 inch-lbs
mesh: 8-13 inch-lbs

^^^both are checked with the pitman off.

there is no 'endplay' listed

If you can wait till tomorrow I can scan a few pages if you need.

It'll have to wait until this evening. I'll scan the test and rebuild pages for you. Don't do anything stupid in the mean time!

My apologies, I don't like going against my word, but I kinda got sidetracked and I didn't get in til late. I'll get your info first thing in the morning (I've got tomorrow off)
