I was hauling home the 35 Ford pickup today. We stopped take a leak and shazzaam, the pickup bed was gone. Yep, broke the straps somehow and flew off somewhere with doors, fenders, steering column with banjo wheel and a 33 windshield frame. We backttracked 35 miles to where we had lunch and I thought the bed was still with us, didn't find it. Called dispatch and reported it and I'll put it on the local radio station in that area tomorrow. I need whiskey.

Probably doesn't help much now but most cameras have a built in memory for taking pictures directly to the camera without an SD card. The space is limited, but possible to take some. The only way to upload to a pc is using a patch cord directly to the camera without a card in place...

Mine won't take pictures without the chip. I think it's supposed to but...

Yikes!

Wouldn't have wanted to be behind you with that flying at me! Hopefully it shows up, or at least doesnt end up in the hands of a scrapper

My Dad and me we on our way home from Florida with an MG on our trailer ...a car come up beside us on the interstate and pointed behind us and then smiled and went on ... we figured they liked the car ... another few miles down the road another one come up and pointed at the car ,,and we waived at them ,, they stayed beside us ,, and finally she rolled down the window and said (RAMP) (RAMP) !!!! so we pulled over and our ramp was dragging the road done wore off I bet 2 inches of it smooth off ... No telling how long we were dragging it ,, never felt it ..
I guess I'm trying to say its not hard to loose something and not know it ..

Yikes WB, you must have been real tired, real excited, or had the radio up real loud! Looks like that would have made a heck of a racket!

Hope you find it, or parts of it, before the scrappers do!

Can't hear much over the powerstroke unless the winder is down.
Happy ending though, I just got home with every piece of it. I had called the highway maintenance shop and left a message this morning. About 3 they called and told me where it was. About 3 miles past where we turned around when we back tracked. 240 mile round trip to go back but it was a beautiful drive. I stopped just before sunset and watched a bunch of elk skylined to the sunset. The fall colors are out in the hills. It was an awesome drive home.
