I was at my 7 year olds birthday party Saturday and was talking to a 25ish mommy and daddy about the new home they bought. They were planning on what to do with the $8000 Obamma Dollars they were getting back for their house stimilus money. The Daddy was planning a turbo setup for his Honda CRX with his $4000, and the Mommy was planning on a **** job with her $4000 share..

I was struck with what a wonderfull, crazy country we live in. At first I was a little offended that $8000 of my tax money was going, and thought they should put it back in the mortage, but thats old man thinking & thats no fun. After some consideration, I don't think I can think of a better thing to do with free money than buy ****s and turbo chargers..

At first I thought they were fools, but now I think they are geniuses!! Especially the guy!!

What a COUNTRY!! Ain't life good??

im 26 and would have put at least most of it back into the mortgage or at
tucked it away in savings -- just saying im not old and thats how i think...
but i also dont spend my entire tax return before i get it either.

i didn't realize they actually got "cash back" i thought it was a tax credit......

and i won't incriminate myself on the other thought within the thread.....;)

anyway, what makes people think the way they do always amazes me.....the economy must be really in the toilet if uncle sam needs to give 8 grand to someone to buy a house and the ones purchasing have no more serious needs than that.......i'm just sayin':confused:

God bless America (and please hurry)

Yep... we're in a world of hurt that our grandkids will be payin' off. If I'm not mistaken they also tax that $8K in some way so you don't really get the full amt. And I believe it is a credit!
