A random off topic thought

Just wondering. I know the discussion on voting and how most of us feel about that responsibility but how many of you (us) routinely contact your congressmen or representatives to let them know how you feel on issues or bills that are coming across the floor for vote? Personally I think the voting them in is just the beginning and I email all of them regularly with my opinions. Even on the local level we can attend city council meetings and let our voices be heard on issues like how many parked cars you can have ect.

I can only keep up with a very small part of what goes on. But I try. I send out
e-mails, but I may have to run for office to really straigten things out.

I try to keep up. I go on the state site and check the bills that are coming up. But sometime they sneak them through under another bill. Like the motorcycle license plate law. Got find two time this year for that one.

We have a different system in the UK, but I contacted my local guy several times when we lived there, about various issues. He always got back to me in a matter of days with a reply. Not always what I wanted to hear, but he always relied.

The last time I contacted him was to apologise that even though I like him, like his attitude and morals, I simply could not vote for him again and thus have the same shower of **** loser government in power for another term.

Nah, every flagpole will have a big metal skull on top of it though.

Back on track - I don't get involved in politics past voting though. I should, and I know it, but I am admittedly lazy about it
