Advice for coast to coast rod trip

Hi my son 28 yrs and I are planning a 3 week road trip Fl to Cal . We want to buy a interesting car for the trip then sell it on completion . We want to see drag racing, NASCAR and indycar on the way. Our diaries are ok for any month after march.

I would think going the other way, would get you a car that may gain value, I have always understood CA cars had more value when taken back east.

You want an interesting car to drive, pick up my friends Nash.....
