how tha hell do ya align the rearend with the frontend and how do know witch
one is right? i dont want to ride down the road sideways.

I think you have to align your rear end with the frame first, and then align the front end. Here is a good how to on how to measure it off: http://www.circletrack.com/techarticles/rear_end_alignment_measurement_tech/index.html
As for correcting rear alignment, I don't know what the easiest way about it is if you have non adjustable suspension - i.e. leaf springs, etc.

Good article Sam. That's basically how I do it. If I'm strating from scratch, I start with a chassis centerline on the floor below the car and/or chassis, then I make squared lines off the centerline representing the front and rear axle centerlines. I work off of those lines. I don't have any knind of chassis jig.
